Lucky Charms!

After some day time debauchery in Vegas, one puts on an appetite! I have just the spot for you!! Right here on tableforsue!!

How exciting it is that I have had nearly a half dozen people in my life recently tell me they're heading to "Sin City" before the summer closes! I was inspired to blog about this seemingly 'typical Irish bar' that I stumbled on at New York, New York Casino!

Let me tell you!!! There was nothing typical about this restaurant gem! 5 kisses to all Nine of you Fine Irishmen - which means 45 total kisses!! Hell ya!! I'm in!

Check out "Nine Fine Irishmen" next time you're on the strip in Las Vegas Nevada!!

Nine Fine Irishmen

Located in New York, New York Casino & Hotel next to The Chocolate Bar!

On December 7th, 2021, I turned 50! Gosh, I don't know about ya'll out there who are 50 and up, but it has been a kick ass turning point for me thus far!! My long time friend, fellow comic & producer, Rox Tarrant, being the unbelievably generous soul that she is, brought me to SIN CITY for my BIG 5-0!

Now, talk about Lucky Charms!! Geez! If you are going to go to Vegas, go with a high roller! Lol! Rox's host hooked us up with an incredible suite, and we had THE MOST DELICIOUS FOOD over and over while we were there! Comp'd!!! It was such a wonderful memory bringing in 50 with my dear friend, fabulous food, and sinful sensations!! I will pump out every spot we hit on tableforsue.com this week starting with the most approachable for the masses - Nine Fine Irishmen!

Okay, please stop and take this in. Ya know how most of us foodies will always, always order _________ if it's on a menu? What are yours?? For me, I will order cioppino on a menu if it's on there. Hands down. Anything that says, pimento cheese! Yup! Shrimp and grits? Yup, I'm in! BEER CHEESE?? Yes!!! So the first thing I saw when I opened the menu at Nine Fine Irishmen was their beer cheese! I'm like, "Rox, I'm ordering the beer cheese for us, okay?" "It's not spicy is it?" She confirms. (Eye roll!! No! lol). I realize we may have visited a hot spot in Vegas that day and tried some interesting gummy candy assortments, but this beer cheese just blew me away!! I loved the various dippers, fresh and each had a contrast to the taste of the main event. This raclette (a French term that translates to scraping the cheese) oozed with the most delicious balance of the best melting cheeses you can find paired with a distinct, signature tap beer. That crispy, browned goodness on top was indescribable and I will go out on a limb here and say it was one of the BEST THINGS I EVER ATE!

This was one of those restaurant stops where I was really happy to be with someone who liked to share. Rox can't eat nearly as much as I can, so it's hardly fair, but it all balances out in the end. :). We shared the fish and chips because you don't go to a place called Nine Fine Irishmen without ordering the fish and chips, I think. Wow!!! Keep scrolling to see the inside - flaky, perfection! I don't usually drown such beautiful fish in sauce, but everything they made was done in house and it was all so fresh and scrumptious! I couldn't help but have a couple fries with vinegar and salt, but I saved most of my room for the fish and that dream appetizer! I didn't forget you my lemon! I love you too! Especially in your 'no drip' dress!

See!!! Just a thin, fresh, lemony tartar that doesn't resemble clumpy mayo mixed with a jar of processed relish!

This was slurp!!!! perfection!! And PS: whenever I 'Yelp', like most, it is because a place is off the charts delectable to me, or off the charts bummer to me. When I offered my rave review on yelp to Nine Fine Irishmen, one of the 9 reached out right away with a wonderful message of thanks! Love that!

Here's my dear friend Rox. After our fill of fish perfection, she was such a trooper to accompany me to an 'adult show' that was out of her preferred venue choice! lol. We walked in to an old school, "Moose Club" type joint. A bit grungy, smoky and had quite the cast of characters working there. My kind of place! Yes, December of 2021 was a long weekend I will always remember. I love you Rox! My first nod is to you.... then those Nine Fine Irishmen.....

..... and my birthday men!

And my little ladies..... ! oxox
