Catchy Titles

I’m kind of obsessed with titles. For instance, I’ve been writing a one woman show for years called, Top Heavy. I love that title. It’s literal & figurative.

When I think about creating an original recipe, I think about people, places, things I love. I entered my original grilled cheeses for at least 4 years or more with The Grilled Cheese Academy competition and all of the entries’ title’s began with ‘the.’ The MN Brew, The Hot Date, The Crunchy Goat - these are a few of my creations. Totally inspired by things I love to eat! My favorite, the one that made the table on the live stream, is called, The Harlem. I was thinking about my first time in Harlem, NY and how much I loved the chicken & waffles at this little diner. So, I lightly breaded a chicken breast with handmade breadcrumbs, made a spicy, Serrano pepper syrup, grabbed the best fontina & sharp cheddar and assembled that bad girl

after drowning the crispy, pan fried breast in the hot syrup. I’ll share the recipe if you’d like to give it a whirl! Have fun and change it up if you want. Best, simple ingredients - but a good frozen waffle worked wayyyy better than a handmade one I’ll tell ya dat. But I suspect I just suck at making waffles. But I’m telling you, you’ll be like, “leggo my eggo! dude!!”

I could chat about grilled cheeses for days! How about you? Preferably chatting over them while eating them.
